Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jacob Gole' after 'Mattijs Pool'. Jacob Gole (ca. 1660-1737) belonged to a group of French refugees who came to the Northern Netherlands in the end of the 17th. Century. He worked in close collaboration with Cornelis Dusart and specialized in the making of mezzotints.  Mattys Pool (1670-1732) worked as a printmaker/publisher in Amsterdam. He travelled to France.

Condition: Good, given age. No margins, small paper loss in the top right corner, backed with contemporary paper and reinforced with acid-free archival tape. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
