Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Ploos van Amstel/Cornelis Brouwer' after 'Allard van Everdingen'. Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (1726-1798) was active as merchant in Amsterdam. He was an avid collector of art and invented a method of making prints after drawings from his own collection. Allaert van Everndingen (1617-1675) was a Dutch painter and etcher, known for his landscapes. He was a student of Roelant Savery in Utrecht, and later of Pieter de Molijn in Haarlem.
