Description: Very rare, Janson produced only a small oeuvre before he joined the army in 1796. State: First state of 2 Ref: VB 57, Herman Weber (Lugt 1383) and Ferdinand of Portugal (Lugt 968).

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Johan Christiaan Janson' after own design. Johan Christiaan Janson (1763-1823) was based in Leiden up to 1796. He was a pupil of his father Johannes Janson (1729-1784).

Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. A skating man with a bucket and fishingrods.

Condition: Very good, given age. Small margins. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
