Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Louis Thomas Bardel' after own design. Louis Thomas Bardel (French; born 1804) worked as genre- and military painter. He exhibited work around 1833-1841. Printed by le Villain. Francois le Villain (active 1820-1830's) was a French lithographer and printer in the early 19th century in Paris. His print shop was famous and higly frequented among the artists of his time.
