Description: Ruppe made only a few prints. They have an experimantal character State: 5 (V) Ref: Kramm V, p. 1413. Very rare. This state not even in the collection of the RPK Amsterdam.

Artists and Engravers: Made by Christiaan Friedrich Ruppe after own design. Christiaan Ruppe (1763-1826) was active as a professor in musicology in Leiden. He was married to the artist Christina Chalon.

Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. City wall and gate as seen from the outside.

Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped to the platemark. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
