Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Adriaan Frans Boudewyns' after 'Adam Frans van der Meulen'. Adriaan Frans Boudewyns, (Bauduins, or Baudouin, 1644-1719) was a Flemish Baroque landscape painter. Besides painting, Boudewijns devoted a lot of his time to engraving. His plates are chiefly after the pictures or designs of Van der Meulen, and are etched in a bold, free style. Adam Frans van der Meulen (1632-1690) was a Flemish painter specialised in battle scenes.
