Description: This rare plate originates from Henricus Hondius' "Theatrum Honoris in quo nostri Apelles, saeculi seu pictorum". The first edition was published 1610. State: Second state of 2. Ref: New Hollstein 175.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Simon Frisius' after an anonymous artist. Simon Frisius (1580-1629) was born in Friesland and active in the first quarter of the 17th. Century. His prints show a very distinct style and mannerist character.

Condition: Very good, given age. With small margins. Light foxing General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
