Artists and Engravers: Made by 'G. P. Borquet' after 'Paul Bril'. G. P. Borquet was active as a reproductive engraver in the end of the 18th. Century. Paul Bril (1554-1626) was a landscape painter who worked in Rome, although born in Antwerp. This type of landcape, known as vedute ideate or vedute di fantasia, is a typical example of his best-known work.
