Description: Source unknown, to be determined. State: Only state. Ref: Niemeyer 369 P. Provenance: Papillon 1 avril [18]72 (not in Lugt). Very good proof impression of one of the best mezzotints Troost made after own invention.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Troost' after own design. Cornelis Troost (1696-1750) was active in Amsterdam. He is seen as one of the most important dutch artist of the first half of the 18th century.

Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. Light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
