Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Ferdinand Piloty ' after 'Nicolas Poussin'. Ferdinand Piloty (1786-1844) was active in Munich. He worked together with Strixner making the "Oeuvres Lithographiques" with lithographs after drawings by famous masters. This very early project in lithography produced very fine specimens of the new technique. Nicolas Poussin (1594-16658) was the leading French painter of the classical French Baroque style.
