Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Johan Michael Mettenleiter' after own design. Johan Michael Mettenleiter (German; 1765-1853) came from a very artistic family in Schwaben. He was involved in lithography as early as 1808. An important artist in bookillustration in Munich in the early 19th. Century.
