Description: Made in 1777, published in 1777. State: Second state of 2. Ref: LNP 27 & 28. signed in pencil on the back.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Ploos van Amstel/Cornelis Brouwer' after 'Frans van Mieris'. Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (1726-1798) was active as merchant in Amsterdam. He was an avid collector of art and invented a method of making prints after drawings from his own collection. Frans van Mieris (1635-1681) was a Dutch Golden Age portrait and genre painter. He was the leading member of his family of painters, also including his two sons and grandson.
