Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Rienk Jelgerhuis' after own design. Rienk Jelgerhuis (1729-1806) was an important portrait artist, who came from Leeuwarden in Friesland. He later worked in Amsterdam. He wrote a treatise on the use of perspective and also invented special spectacles for drawing.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: ''De Batavier aan Willem de Geweldenaar.'' - William V trying to steal food from a true Dutchman, named a Batavian.
Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins, some old folds. Untrimmed irregular paper edges. Some remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
