Description: Rare, but curiously a later 19th. Century impression of the copperplate. It refers to the faild Franco-Dutch siege of Louvain in 1635. Ref: Hollstein 1

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Peeter Franchois' after own design. Peeter Franchois (1606-1654) worked in Malines.

Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Hereseos fautor procul [..].' - St. Peter kicking a French soldier in front of the citywalls of Louvain.

Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
