Description: Source unknown, to be determined. State: First state of 2? Ref: Hollstein 3. Despit the defects, a very rare print. The oeuvre of this artist is very small and printed in few impressions. Hollstein mentions 3 impressions for this print.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Pieter Cornelisz. Van Slingeland' after an anonymous artist. Pieter Cornelis van Slingeland (Dutch; 1640-1691) worked in Leiden. He was a pupil of Gerrit Dou.

Condition: Fair, given age. Top margin cropped to the image edge. Left and right margins cropped close to the image edge. Sheet warped/wrinkled, with sharp creasing in the left edge. Some faint areas in the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
