Description: Rare. From a set with decorations made of military objects, based on designs made by Polidoro da Carravaggio. State: Only state. Ref: Orn. Cat. II, nr. 792.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Rene Lochon' after 'Charles Errard'. Rene Lochon (1636-1675) was a French engraver from Poissy or Orleans. He was a pupil of J.B. Corneille and was active in Paris. Charles Errard (1606-1689) was court painter to Louis XIV. He spent several years in Rome with Claude Lorrain.
