Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jonas Suyderhoef' after 'Johannes Thopas'. Jonas Suyderhoef (Dutch; ca. 1613-1686) was a Dutch engraver from Leiden. He worked in Haarlem. He produced highly finished engravings often in collaboration with his tutor Soutman. He specialized mostly in portraits. Johannes Thopas (1625-1700) was active as portrait artist. He was deaf.
