Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Gillis van Scheyndel' after 'Gilles van Scheyndel'. Gillis / Aegidius / Georg van Scheyndel / Scheijndel / Scheindel / Schendel (c. 1595-c. 1662) was a Dutch Golden Age etcher and designer. He worked in Amsterdam. His work is close akin to the prints of Jacques Callot and Jan van de Velde II.
