Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Michiel Elgersma' after 'Louis Fabricius Dubourg'. Michiel Elgersma (1690-1759) worked in Amsterdam in the first half of the 18th. Century. He worked in the manner of Van Huyssum and Dubourg. Louis Fabricius Dubourg / du Bourg (Dutch; 1693-1775) is a little known painter and engraver from French parents born in Amsterdam, mainly active in the early 18th. Century, where he painted on ceilings, chimneys and made watercolours. He was a student of Gerard de Lairesse, Jan van Huysum, Rademaker and Bernard Picart.
