Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jan van Troyen' after 'Gerbrandt van den Eeckhout'. Jan van Troyen (ca. 1610) was active in Brussels in the workshop of David Teniers II. Gerbrand van den Eeckhout (1621-1674) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and a favourite student of Rembrandt. He was also an etcher and poet, as well as a collector and adviser on art.
