Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Michel Lasne' after an anonymous artist. Michel Lasne / l'Asne (ca. 1590-1667) was a French designer, etcher and engraver from Caen. He worked in Antwerp and Paris. In Antwerp he possibly worked with Theodor Galle and Jacques de Bie. He appears mostly inspired by Cornelis Bloemaert and F. Villamena. He worked in the protection of Anne of Austria.
