Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Charles' after 'Narcisse Diaz de la Pena'. We could not identify Charles further. Narcisse Diaz de la Pena (1807-1876) originated from Spain. He worked in France and was part of the Barbizon School.
Subject: Antique print, titled: 'La Fee au joujoux.' - A fairy handing out gifts and toys to a group of children, their parents in the background. The fairy is accompanied by a girl carrying a basket filled with toys, from which the Fairy picks a toy to hand to the little girl at her feet. Another girl, seated at the bottom of the steps, is playing with a doll she was given earlier.
Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins, some foxing and small spots in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
