Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Domenicus Custos after Georg Wickgram. Domenicus Custos (1560-1615) was born in Antwerp and moved to Augsburg. There he maried the widow of the negraver Barth. Kilian. He produced a great number of prints, among them a large group of finely engraved portraits

Subject: Antique print, untitled. It shows: Zigala Bassa, portrait of an oriental naval captain in turban.

Condition: Very good, with large margins. With an old fold in the lower left of the impression and an old ink nr. in the lower right just outside of the impression. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
