Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Moriz Kellerhoven' after 'Dillis '. Moriz / Moritz Kellerhoven (1758-1830) was a German painter and engraver from Altenrath. He trained in Dusseldorf and Antwerp. He established himself in Vienna from 1779 and later became a professor at the Munich Academy and Court painter of the Elector Charles-Theodore from 1784. He was a talented painter and engraver of historic subjects and portraits, often after Rembrandt. It is not determinable which member of the Dillis family the inventor of this image is.
