Description: Title to the wellknown set of dogs by Fijt. State: III (6). Ref: Hollstein 9 .

Artists and Engravers: Made by Jan Fijt after own design. Jan Fijt (1611-1661) was a Flemish artist, who worked in Paris. He specialised in dogs and hunting scenes.

Subject: Antique print, untitled. Title engraving for the set of dogs. The title, with two harpies in front of it. To the right two dogs, to the left a rabbit and a tree.

Condition: Very good, impression with small margins. Very good and crisp impression from the collection of the Leiden Printroom (Lugt 2233d). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
