Description: From a set of prints with people celebrating the conquets of Namur in 1695. State: IV (4). Ref: Hollstein 36.

Artists and Engravers: Made by C. Dusart after own design. Cornelis Dusart (1660-1704) was a pupil of Adriaen van Ostade. He specialized in highly finished works of art on paper with genre subject matter. Dsart made many prints in mezzotint, which are very close to his washed pen drawings.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'De Vrede maakt mij gaande', A woman lighting a rocket in commemoration of the conquest of the city of Namur.

Condition: Very good, small margins General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
