Artists and Engravers: Made by CVP. Crispyn de Passe was born in Arnemeuide, Zeeland in 1565. He started engraving in Antwerp and was later active in Cologne and Utrecht. Being highly active he produced a large amount of prints, including a group of very finely engraved portraits. His sons and daughter also were all active as printmakers.
Subject: Antique print, untitled. It shows: a portrait of Philips William of Orange.
Condition: Very good. Impression with very large margins. Some browning and an annotation in brown ink of a number. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
