Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Bernard Vaillant' after 'Jean Vaillant'. Bernard Vaillant (1632-1698), together with his brother Wallerant and Jean came from France to the Northern Netherlands around 1650. They all made mezzotints. Jean Vaillant (1627-1680) was a member of the Vaillant family. He later worked in Germany.

Condition: Very good, given age. Thread margins, some foxing. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. Some small stains at right, effecting image, as visible on scan. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
