Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jean Joseph Balechou' after 'Jacques André Joseph Camelot Aved'. Jean Joseph Balechou (1716-1764) was a French engraver. He was a pupil of Michel and Lepicie. He worked in Paris and Avignon. Jacques-Andre-Joseph Aved (1702 - 1766), also called le Camelot (The Hawker) and Avet le Batave (The Dutch Avet), was a French court painter of the 18th century and one of the main French Rococo portraitists.
