He worked in Amsterdam. Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres (1780-1867) was a famous classical painter from the early 19th. century.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Portrait of the French history and portrait painter Leon Cogniet at the age of 24. Cogniet (Paris; 1794-1880) was a French history and portrait painter. He is probably best remembered as a teacher, with over one hundred well-known students.
