Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Galle' after 'Nicolaas van der Horst'. Cornelis Galle the elder (1576-1650) was a Flemish engraver from Antwerp. Het was a pupil and son of Philip Galle (1537-1612). He was the father of the engraver Cornelis Galle the younger (1615-1678) and grandfather of the engraver Cornelis III Galle (1642-). Nicolaas van der Horst (1598-1646).
