Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Willem Jacobs. Delff' after 'Michiel van Mierevelt'. Willem Jacobsz. Delff (1580-1638) was a Dutch engraver, active in Delft. He was a student of his father Jacob Willemsz, Delff and possibly of Goltzius. He was the chief engraver of the designs of his father in law Van Mierevelt. Michiel van Mierevelt (Dutch; 1567-1641) had a large workshop producing this type of portrait.
