Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Edward William Cooke' after an anonymous artist. Edward William Cooke (1811-1880) was a British painter and engraver from London. He was the son of the engraver George Cooke. He specialised in marine scenery.

Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'The Hastings, seventy four lying in ordinary in the medway.' - View of the Hastings, a 74-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy.

Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. Remains of attachment to carrier to the top margin. Margins a little warped (from moisture?). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
