Artists and Engravers: Made by Jan van de Velde. Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and Jan trainend as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints.

Condition: Very good, thread margins. From the collection of H. C. Lieftinck-Aldershoff (not in Lugt) General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
