Artists and Engravers: Made by 'C. Dietrich' after 'Nicolaes Berchem'. Not much is known of C. Dietrich. He collaborated with C. Josi in the republication and augmentation of the Ploss printdrawings. Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem / Berghem (1620-1683) was a highly esteemed and prolific Dutch Golden Age painter of pastoral landscapes, populated with mythological or biblical figures, but also of a number of allegories and genre pieces.
