Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Allaert van Everdingen' after an anonymous artist. Allaert van Everdingen (1621-1675) was active as a painter in Amsterdam. He traveled to Norway to make paintings of the landscape for the Trip family, who had gunfoundries there. After this trip, most of his landscapes have a Norwegian theme.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. The hill. A large boulder beside a stream with a log wooden structure in the background. Three firgures are resting near the boulder.
Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped to or just over the platemark. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear. Faint discolouration (from glue of attachment) in all four corners. Corners a bit thin from previous attachment. Top left corner with a small hole, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
