Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Salomon Gessner' after own design. Salomon Gessner (1730-1788) was born and active in Switserland. He was multi-talented, being a painter, poet and etcher. As a painter he represented the Arcadian classical landscape.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Landscape with three people, who make music on a a lyre and flute during a picnic.
Condition: Very good, given age. Large uncut margins. Small holes at left margin, not effecting image, from binding. Some foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
