Artists and Engravers: Made by Jan van de Velde after own design. Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and Jan trainend as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints.

Condition: Very good, impression with large margins and the two binding holes of the string of the original binding. Collection mark vaguely visible in top right margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
