Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Arthur Pond' after 'Annibale Carracci'. Arthur Pond (1705-1758) was an English painter and engraver. He was most succesful as a portrait painter, but he also made engravings after Old Masters, specialised in prints in the manner of drawings. Annibale Carracci (1560-1609) was a reknown printmaker, draughtsman, painter and etcher born in Bologna.
