Artists and Engravers: Made by P. Janson. Pieter Janson (1768-1851) was born in 's- Hertogenbosch. His father, Johannes Janson, was an officer and engineer, but also a painter and etcher. He taught Pieter in the arts. Later Pieter joined the French army and went to 1812 to Russia, where he was severely wounded. He died athe age of 83 in Arnhem.
Subject: Antique print, untitled. It shows: the view of a farm with barn and large tree.
Condition: Very good, small margins. Nice impression. From the collection of F. J. Halbertsma (Lugt 1473). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
