Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Samuel Howitt ' after an anonymous artist. Samuel Howitt (1756-1822) was an English painter, illustrator and etcher of animals, hunting and horse-racing scenes who worked in both oil and watercolour. He was the brother in law of the famous caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson.

Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins. Faint soiling in the margins, a faint dampstain in the top left margin edge, a small crease in the lower left margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
