Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem / Berghem (1620-1683) was a highly esteemed and prolific Dutch Golden Age painter of animals and pastoral landscapes, populated with mythological or biblical figures, but also of a number of allegories and genre pieces.

Condition: Very good, given age. No margins, slightly cut into the plateline on the left. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear (removable). Left paper edges with thin paper spots. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
