Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Melchior Kussel' after 'Johan Wilhelm Bauer'. Melchior Kussel (German; 1626-1683) was active in Augsburg as publisher and printmaker. He produced many fine prints. His children were also in active in the printbussiness.  Johann Wilhelm Bauer (1607-1642) was a German Born artist, who settled in Rome. He was active in the local circle of foreign artists.
