Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Auguste Raffet' after own design. Auguste Raffet (1804-1860) was apupil of Charlet. By him, Raffet was influenced in working with lithography. Many of his prints concern Napoleon.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Dieu, qui les Pays sont ingrats!!!' - ('Lord, how the countries are ungracious!?'). A soldier's widow complaining while seated beside her knitting with three soldiers at her side.
