Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Troost' after own design. Cornelis Troost (1696-1750) was active in Amsterdam. He is seen as one of the most important Dutch artist of the first half of the 18th century.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Zo, dart'le Saartje Jans! Zo, zo! Waar wil dat heen?' - A night scene with Jan Klaassen and Saartje Jans. She holds a candle. Accompanied by a short poem in Dutch by Pieter Langendijk.
Condition: Very good, given age. Very faintly dampstained in the lower margin. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear of the sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
