Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Eugen Eduard Schaffer' after 'Johann Friedrich Overbeck'. Eugen Eduard Schaffer (1802-1877) was a member of the German Nazarener movement. Johann Friedrich Overbeck (1789-1864) was one of the modern artists in the early 19th. Century, who travelled to Italy. He and others were heavily influenced by the pre-Gothic art and called themselves the "Nazarenes".
