Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Bernard Schreuder' after 'Adriaen van Ostade'.  Bernard Schreuder (+1778) worked for a while in collaboration with C. Ploos van Amstel. After an argument he started for himself, making print drawings.  Born in Haarlem in 1610, Adriaen van Ostade trained with Frans Hals. He remained in this city for the rest of his life and died here in 1685. Very influential artist, who had pupils like Cornelis Bega, Cornelis Dusart and Jan Steen. His etched work consists of 50 prints, all with genre subject matter.
