Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Joannes Visscher' after 'Adriaen Brouwer'. Jan / Johannes de Visscher, the younger (ca. 1636-1692) was a Dutch Golden Age engraver who later became a painter at age 58. He made famous print after Wouwermans and Berchem, as well as Ostade and Van Goyen. He was the brother of Cornelis II and Lambert. Adriaen Brouwer (1605-1638) was a Flemish genre painter, active in Flanders and the Dutch Republic.
