Description: This edition was used in "Etching and etchers" by Hamerton in 1880. State: Third state of 3 Ref: Schneiderman 161 Fishing.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Francis Seymour Haden' after own design. Sir Francis Seymour Haden (1818-1910) started out as an amateur artist, being a surgeon. He would become one of the main persons involved in the British Etching Revival. Being married to the half-sister of James McNeal Whistler, there was a collaboration for a while.

Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins, some browning from previous matting. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
