Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Joseph-Louis-Hippolyte Bellange ' after an anonymous artist. Joseph-Louis-Hippolyte Bellange (French; 1800-1866) worked as a pupil together with Charlet. He developed the same interest in Napoleonic subjectmatter. Like charlet he produced a great number of lithographs.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Charges d'atelier ' - A new artist welcomed in the studio. A nude model opens the door for the artist, while several young members prepare to soak the man with buckets above the door. The artists are gathered in the background, one still sitting at his easel.
